Angel
of Balance and Wisdom
This Doll has been featured in a
new magazine called "Art Dollz"
Raggy
Kitty
Raggy Kitty was made
in 2001. I was commissioned to prototype doll for Cosmic Debris of
Hot Topic. He is pieced of 14 different patches of fabric, eyes
are appliquéd on, and red stitches were done by hand.
Moon
Man Pin Doll
The
Garden Doll
This
is my own design. She is made of poly-clay. The images on the
doll are stamped or transferred to the clay. I used artist chalks,
embossing powder, and pearl-ex powders for color and sparkle.
The
Body Bag Doll
This doll was a round
Robin group project. I made a blank body of white felt, put it in a
bag, with no pre-conceived notion of what I'd get back, and this is how
she came back to me. My little Muse!
Black
Magic Woman
I
made the Black Magic Woman in 1998 for an African-American swap on FOCD.
The body pattern was adapted from a library book by J.P. Jones. I
painted the body with acrylic paints after it was sewn and stuffed.
The face was drawn free hand and then painted with acrylics. The
costume is my own design made of my signature hand-painted fabric.
Essence
of Me
The Essence of Me was
a group project. The pattern was in The Cloth Doll Magazine by The
Looking Glass Doll Club.My
doll, made of natural muslin. The flap is stabilized with
buckram. I stamped it with some of my favorite rubber stamps after
it was sewn and stuffed. The face is a paper clay tile that I
impressed with a rubber stamp and the hairpiece is wired ribbon.
